Melinda Gebbie

Melinda Gebbie is the talented lady behind the artwork in Lost Girls. Lost Girls is an epic journey of smutty goodness involving Alice from Alice in wonderland, Wendy from Peter Pan and Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. They all meet in a hotel in Austria, right before the breakout of the first world war. The 3 ladies of different ages, find comfort in each other, and what follows is nearly 300 pages of beautifully drawn, poetic fantasy. As well as Lost Girls, Melinda was also involded in the underground comix scene in San Francisco in the 1970’s. The image I posted above, is from an old underground comic I just got, San Francisco Comic Book # 6 and it has an excellent long story by Melinda. It’s all about the underground scene and the people in it, and their weird sexuality. Enjoy.

I’ve been meaning to check out Lost Girls. The ending to Alan Moore’s Necronomicon #2 has left me kind of… leery, though. lmao
