Inkstuds on the Road – Part 26 Ron Wimberly

New York artist Ron Wimberly aka D-Pi joined us for an interview during our trip to the big city. We had a hard time finding a quiet enough place to do the interview, so apologies for the noise. His latest book is the great Prince of Cats which came out from vertigo. Ron has interesting approach to his own creative work and well worth keeping an eye on.

Thanks for connecting with this interviewee! This is the first interview of yours I’ve listened to. I was worried you guys weren’t going to let Ron finish a thought before asking him another question (enthusiasm), but you got it right towards the middle.

The background noise wasn’t too bad. I’ve listened to podcaster’s dogs barking and shaking their collar chains into mics. I thought the café atmosphere/experience here was entirely appropriate for the subject matter and—up until the high heel clicks/mid-morning rush or whatever it was—tolerable.
